It may only be mid-November, but Christmas appears to be in full swing when it comes to marketing campaigns and promotions. Are you thinking of utilising social media to promote your business during this festive period? In this blog, I look at how to run a social media campaign at Christmas.
Get noticed
Create content that will make your brand stand out from the crowd. What’s your USP? Shout about it as loud as you can. Be creative, be innovative, be different. Remember, when it comes to advertising, particularly on social media, November and December are busy months, so your business needs to do something different in order to stand out from your competitors.

Focus on key dates
Throughout November and December, the calendar is littered with key dates – Black Friday, Cyber Monday, Christmas Jumper Day, Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Years Eve and New Years day to name a few. Plan your social media campaigns around these dates and create engaging content that will interest and excite your audience. Don’t just focus on promoting your business, but try to encourage your followers to interact with you.
Engage with your followers
You probably do this anyway, but Christmas provides you with an extra way to engage with your followers. Add some festive cheer to your posts and encourage conversation, ask questions and run polls – anything to get your audience talking and in turn promote your brand.
Social media is a great way to promote your brand and generate leads. I hope that you have found this ‘How to run a Social Media Campaign at Christmas’ blog useful. As always, if you have any questions or comments please do not hesitate to get in touch here.
